Farnoosh Samadi is an Iranian filmmaker who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. She has worked as co-writer on Ali Asgari's award-winning short films. She also co-wrote a feature film with Ali Asgari, developed at the Cinéfondation Résidence. The Silence, her first short film co-directed with Ali Asgari, had its world premiere in competition at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Gaze, his second short film, premiered in competition at the 2017 Locarno Film Festival. He is a member of the Academy of Oscars.
