by Amir Har-gil, Israel, 8' out of competition - national premiere
In these times where Israeli aggression against Palestine (and now the entire Arab world) is a terrifying reality, let us go back with our memories to the early 1950s, when a group of socialist Jews founded a kibbutz, i.e., a collectively run farm, and housed young Arabs there, having them study and work with them. At the end of the short film, Professor Amir Har-gil will link up for a brief discussion on the meaning of that experience.
Amir Har-gil has dedicated his life to documentaries and the idea of an Israel that can live in peace in Palestine. Dozens of documentaries qualify him as one of the historical voices of Israeli cinematography.
